Description
exoGIRT is a proprietary fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) Z-girt certified by the Passive House Institute for use in thermally efficient ventilated façades. Made in the USA, exoGIRT replaces metal sub-framing elements to virtually eliminate thermal bridging through exterior wall assemblies. Its proprietary FRP formulation offers low thermal conductivity while delivering high structural strength, dimensional stability, and resistance to corrosion and moisture. Certified for use in Passive House buildings, exoGIRT maintains internal surface temperatures above 17 °C. The non-metallic profile contains no combustible content and does not require thermal isolation pads, reducing detailing complexity. Compatible with a wide range of cladding systems, insulation thicknesses, and sub-framing configurations, exoGIRT ensures a continuous thermal envelope with long-term structural reliability. Lightweight and installer-friendly, exoGIRT enables thermal-bridge-free design in both new construction and retrofit Passive House applications.
