Balcony connections

Reducing heat transfer through the building envelope lowers energy consumption and helps prevent condensation-related problems. Thermal bridges created by steel or concrete balconies can significantly affect a building’s overall energy performance. Balcony connections are load-bearing, thermally insulated connection elements for concrete or steel structures that minimise thermal bridges in cantilevered or supported balconies while maintaining structural integrity. The Passive House Institute provides load-bearing-capacity-dependent thermal values to assist in the evaluation and documentation of thermal bridges.
