Windows
Windows with good thermal insulation are important for comfort in the home and to prevent energy loss. At the same time, windows also let the sun into the house and help keep rooms warm though solar heat gains. Passive house windows can even gain more heat in winter than they lose. The narrowest possible frames are important for this, because the sun only enters the building directly through the glass.
